Well I made it!
The recovery time took about a week, but that is how long it took to recover from the day at the park event. But you know what? I wouldn't change a thing! I had so much fun on so many levels! I tend to stress myself out to the core before an event and it can be anything from a speech, jury duty, planning a birthday OR a Photography event. This was no exception!
Can I tell you a secret? I lost a bit of sleep and I felt a little queasy... nerves. I get them. But I think the outcome was spectacular. I met so many sweet children and may I add beautiful! Everyone was so well behaved and I enjoyed all of the mommies and daddies. You all have so much patience and the kindest hearts, I am overjoyed to call you clients and can I dare say it... "friends". (I Heart YOU!)
So I'd love to update you on how I came about the idea for Tutu's in the park. A couple years back my friend had done an event similar to this one and she let me steal her idea... and I just wanted to take this opportunity to give her some credit for that idea! Her's was a little bit different, I put my own spin on the "Amber Linn Photography" Version but I would like to give a special shoutout to my special friend and say thank you for giving me approval and support and helping me with props and your over all blessing for the entire day. (Love you!)
I also want to just chime and say; I will be doing things just a tad bit different next time. I will have helpers, I will not do it by myself again. It will be a bit more strict on time so nobody is waiting and we will have just a better "flow" if you will. But I still want to make it very relaxed, with snacks, water bottles and of course I want to make it child friendly so clean restrooms, play equipment and enough space for little feet and hands can touch and play and run and get into things without there being a fear of getting hurt or messing anything up. It is ideal for a playgroup to meet and do pictures together and then do their playdates afterwards or during.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions feel free to email me about it I am totally open to suggestions!
With all of that said (sorry I am a chatter box tonight)... here are some pictures and some "Out-takes" because those are my favorite. Some of these you may have seen already on my facebook page: www.facebook.com/amberlinnphotog and some of them I am just posting now.
I enjoyed meeting all of you so much!!!! Thank you for coming!!! Have a wonderful weekend everyone and stay tuned because our next tutu in the park event is coming up and IT ISN'T JUST FOR GIRLS! We have many props including bow ties, ties and nerd glasses for little boys xoxo.
Helpers: Thank you Christan, Afton and Addi who helped me at my most busiest of times! And thank you Michele T. for manning the fort while I was running around the park getting the cutest little shots!!! xoxoxo
