McCrum Surprise Maternity Session!

I recieved the best call asking for me to join in on a surprise photo shoot. Yes I said, let's do it! Kelly; a friend of mine planned on surprising her best friend who was down visitng from Napa for her babyshower. Kelly had her best friend and her fiance meet me at a park. Let me start you from the begining; they were told to dress up in their "sunday best" and follow Kelly and they had no idea to where. When they arrived at this quaint little park, I stepped out and introduced myself and let them know what we were doing. They were just elated!!

We spent about an hour together and this couple is just SO IN LOVE and SO EXCITED! It's their first little bundle of joy and they've decided to keep the gender a surprise so nobody, not even them know what will be arriving until the big day. AWW, love every ounce of this entire scenario. My heart was just filled with joy, Katie and Dylan were forever gazing in each other in awe and holding hands and were the perfect subjects in front of the camera. The camera just loved them and you can completely tell how much they are in love. Enjoy their lovely session and congratulations to the McCrum family!

Welcome Baby Benjamin Laurence

Last weekend I was invited and honored if I do say so myself to take some welcoming, maternity, photos for the, Moran family. Ben, Lauren and little Lucia let me prance them around the Sunnylands Estate and pose them in every which way. Lauren was and is the most beautiful and glowing mommy to be that I have seen! And can I just say ..... HER HAIR is AMAZING! Sunnylands was the most perfect place to take the Moran's so that Lucia could run around and play and it is so lush and green; it makes for a beautiful photography experience everytime I go there! So take a moment and congratulate the Moran's and send many blessings to them and the future little Benjamin Laurence! xoxox

A little girl time at the LQ Farmer's Market

Madylinn and I woke up pretty early on a Sunday to go enjoy a little girl time at the La Quinta Farmer's Market. Fresh Produce was on my mind.. and I found some mighty fine Kale, Swiss Chard and Zucchini I might add. Yummy.. while we were there the fresh air and the ambiance fed my soul.

We ran into a few of my clients, and friends. It was a good day; I'd love to share it with you... a little snippet into my life. Happy Sunday!

Tutu's in the Park; Our Valentine's Mini Sessions

Well I made it!

The recovery time took about a week, but that is how long it took to recover from the day at the park event. But you know what? I wouldn't change a thing! I had so much fun on so many levels! I tend to stress myself out to the core before an event and it can be anything from a speech, jury duty, planning a birthday OR a Photography event. This was no exception!

Can I tell you a secret? I lost a bit of sleep and I felt a little queasy... nerves. I get them. But I think the outcome was spectacular. I met so many sweet children and may I add beautiful! Everyone was so well behaved and I enjoyed all of the mommies and daddies. You all have so much patience and the kindest hearts, I am overjoyed to call you clients and can I dare say it... "friends". (I Heart YOU!)

So I'd love to update you on how I came about the idea for Tutu's in the park. A couple years back my friend had done an event similar to this one and she let me steal her idea... and I just wanted to take this opportunity to give her some credit for that idea! Her's was a little bit different, I put my own spin on the "Amber Linn Photography" Version but I would like to give a special shoutout to my special friend and say thank you for giving me approval and support and helping me with props and your over all blessing for the entire day. (Love you!)

I also want to just chime and say; I will be doing things just a tad bit different next time. I will have helpers, I will not do it by myself again. It will be a bit more strict on time so nobody is waiting and we will have just a better "flow" if you will. But I still want to make it very relaxed, with snacks, water bottles and of course I want to make it child friendly so clean restrooms, play equipment and enough space for little feet and hands can touch and play and run and get into things without there being a fear of getting hurt or messing anything up. It is ideal for a playgroup to meet and do pictures together and then do their playdates afterwards or during.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions feel free to email me about it I am totally open to suggestions!

With all of that said (sorry I am a chatter box tonight)... here are some pictures and some "Out-takes" because those are my favorite. Some of these you may have seen already on my facebook page: www.facebook.com/amberlinnphotog and some of them I am just posting now.

I enjoyed meeting all of you so much!!!! Thank you for coming!!! Have a wonderful weekend everyone and stay tuned because our next tutu in the park event is coming up and IT ISN'T JUST FOR GIRLS! We have many props including bow ties, ties and nerd glasses for little boys xoxo.

Helpers: Thank you Christan, Afton and Addi who helped me at my most busiest of times! And thank you Michele T. for manning the fort while I was running around the park getting the cutest little shots!!! xoxoxo

Valentines Day; Boudoir Photography for your Fella!

A couple weeks ago, Sher contacted me regarding boudoir photography. Did I do it, would I do it, could I do it? Because honestly; she just didn't think she could feel comfortable doing it in front of anyone else. After babies we sometimes don't feel as beautiful as we would like. I said OF COURSE, let me show you how gorgeous you are my friend and here is what I showed her! If you are interested in a boudoir photography shoot similiar to this one feel free to message me and we will set one up!
